Franconia
Franconia is an outdoor sculpture garden that fosters creativity and community through large-scale sculptures and contemporary art installations. The garden blends nature and art, inviting visitors to explore thought-provoking pieces while connecting with the local arts community. The goal was to reimagine their wayfinding system to engage the public with art in a bold, abstract, and interactive way.
The result was the creation of a memorable abstract iconographic system that extended beyond the maps legend to become a real-life wayfinding experience. This system tied the entire concept together through a cohesive pattern, transforming navigation into an immersive interaction with the space itself. By integrating the wayfinding elements with the surrounding art and landscape, we demonstrated that wayfinding is more than directional—it’s an experience.
